About us!
Anthony and Nicole Amato are two game designers in Philadelphia. They are heavily involved in the board game community, both local and nationwide. Outside of Cardboard Fortress Games, they are involved in playtesting communities, collectives, and events.
Anthony works full time as a freelance artist and graphic designer. His game design and artwork can be found at his online portfolio. In addition to doing the artwork for much of Cardboard Fortress Games, he also did artwork and graphic design for Grow: The Organic Building Game, Ursa Miner: Bears Mining Honey!, the Tabletop Co-op, and the Game Makers Guild Philly, among many other projects.
Nicole works full time as a research analyst by day. She’s also the Senior Editor at Warp Zoned, the co-founder and co-organizer of GameLoop Philly and is on the board for Philly Game Mechanics. In addition, she is a freelance writer and editor, and has worked on dozens of video game and board game projects; a wedding officiant; and an adjunct professor.
Together, they are founding member of the Tabletop Co-op and co-founders and co-organizers of the Game Makers Guild Philadelphia. They have done judging for several events, including Boston FIG, the Cardboard Edison annual contest, and the Button Shy annual contest.
